Privacy notice
What this website and its early-access waitlist collect, why, who handles it, and how to have it deleted. In short: we use what you send us to reply about access, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
Who we are
RecruIQ runs recruiq.io and decides how the information below is used. Questions about this notice or about your data go to recruiq.tech@gmail.com.
This notice covers the website and the waitlist only. If you take an interview on RecruIQ or use the product, the notice shown in the product applies.
What we collect, and why
When you request access
- Your name, work email address and company, to review your request, send you one confirmation email, and contact you about access.
- About your hiring: your role, how many engineers you plan to hire, the applicant tracking system you use, and anything you write about what you are hiring for. It helps us decide which teams to onboard first and how to set up your first round.
- Your permission to email you about access and setup. We do not send newsletters.
- Where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you followed (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign) and the name of the website that sent you, such as linkedin.com, but never the page you were on. It tells us which channels bring interest. - When you submitted the form, and whether the confirmation email went out.
We keep these because you asked us to contact you. Nothing else from the form is kept.
When you visit
- Usage analytics (PostHog): the pages viewed, including any campaign tags in their address, the website that sent you, and the buttons clicked. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. PostHog receives your IP address and browser details with each visit, through our server. Session recording is switched off, and nothing you type into the request form is sent to analytics, only whether sending it worked.
- Server logs: our web server records each request (IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. The logs are rotated daily and deleted after about two weeks.
- Spam protection: to limit repeated signups, our servers count recent requests from each IP address. The counts are kept in memory only, and are never written to disk or sent anywhere.
- Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
Who handles it for us
- Google (Google Sheets and Gmail): the waitlist is kept in a Google Sheet, and the confirmation email is sent from our Gmail account, which keeps a copy.
- PostHog, in the United States: analytics. Requests pass through our own server, so your browser only ever talks to recruiq.io.
- Amazon Web Services, in Mumbai, India: hosts the website and the service that receives the form. If Google cannot be reached, your request waits on that server until it can be delivered, and is deleted from it once it has been.
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist entries: deleted automatically 12 months after your request, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
- Emails: messages we exchange with you, including the confirmation email, stay in our mailbox until you ask us to delete your details.
- Analytics: in PostHog, which deletes events according to our project's data retention setting.
- Server logs: about two weeks.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email recruiq.tech@gmail.com from the address concerned, or reply "remove" to the confirmation email, and we will act on it within 30 days. Deleting your entry also withdraws your request for access.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
